Yves Saint Laurent (August 1, 1936 -- June 1, 2008) was a French pied noir fashion designer, and is considered 'one of the greatest figures in French fashion in the 20th century'

Laurent Cantet won the Golden Palm at 2008 Cannes Film festival directing with great sensitivity a story about two generations and school's role in everybody's life. The movie is about Francois, a brilliant teacher in a high school, challenged by a student who doesn't like his methods.
