This is a rare clip showing a clock closedown-esque sign-off at the end of the day's programming, leading into the night's OU broadcast. The clip is from 30 May 1984.

This ident was one of the 1991-2001 idents, but was released in 1997 with the rebranding of all the BBC channels and the logo. This ident was updated in late 2000, as the white BBC2 logo was changed to a black font and the web URL was added.

A VHS recording from the good old days of the Open University on the BBC, this programme was made in 1980 for the 'The Science of Belief' course. No expense spared on the set either.

This many will remember. It is the neon ident which appeared on BBC2 between 1991-2001. Being one of the first BBC2 idents to be created using the '2' idea. However, this is a new and updated version of the ident, including the new BBC2 logo. Could this possibly be BBC2's new Christmas ident for 2007?

This was a new ident released for the millenium on BBC2. It was used from 2000-2001 and was one of the last idents to be introduced before the re-brand in 2001. The concept of the ident was that the 2 withstood the flames, as no mark is left by the fire
