Description: Hara Tetsuo, the illustrator for the popular manga, "Fist of the North Star", helps out in a charity celebrity painting auction. The purpose of the auction is to raise money to build schools in Cambodia. Falling in line with this theme, Hara created a drawing entitled, "A Seed of Hope" (希望の種). His intention was to create a "kind Kenshiro" (優しいケンシロウ）. After the auction we see the buyer and where he has placed it in his home. Sorry I left the commercials in. Translation of the interview with Mr. Hara (from 00:31 to 00:50) Q. What is the theme for this? Mr. Hara: A seed of hope.　The elementary schools [to be built] in Cambodia, I chose the one seed to represent that.　After not too long a bud sprouts from the barren land. I tried to draw Kenshiro with that sort of great wish that a wonderful fruit will grow [from that sprout]. The final bid was 3,500,000 yen, or around $35,000.
